Trucos de diseño para diseñar como locos
Always open to new forms of entertainment I’ll talk about nested styles Indesign.
All designers that have been through QuarkXpress, Pagemaker, etc … know the libraries of styles. Styles are sets of rules that affect the different properties of an object, in this case a paragraph, grouped under a label. Its usefulness is very clear, repeatedly assigning these properties so as to maintain consistency of design without having to manually edit the properties of each object. A quality of the paragraph styles is to allow changing the style of character from a simple argument. This is what is called nested styles, not to be confused with property next style.
In the picture you can see an index created with a nested style. To function correctly the first thing to do is define the character styles that will be involved. In this example creates two styles of character: Textbase 001 and numbase 001. It is important to label the styles with names that help to recognize them easily.
In this window of options are adjusted all the parameters concerning the style of the paragraph in question, in this case in point Capitulares and nested styles.
Usually when creating a new style, misunderstandings often occur. In this example, the second character style, 001 Textbase, adopting the color of the first style created, numbase 001. It is therefore advisable to always check a new style. A small price to pay for the huge benefit of having a library of functional and coherent style.
In the left window can be seen as the color argument is not a properly allocated and need to be changed manually.
On the property next style, of which I spoke at the beginning of the publication. This is a useful property for libraries with a view to drafting, that is, commonly used in designs over which the editors write directly their articles in an orderly composition: subholder, title, intro, general text, summaries, second reading and captions, etc … this way the paragraph styles are changing as the author introduces the character end of paragraph ^p clicking the return key.
